HYDERABAD: Councillor resigns

HYDERABAD, Nov 5: A member of the Hyderabad District Council, Shahnaz Baqai, has resigned from the membership of the council’s labour committee, saying its constitution was illegal.

Earlier, 13 members of City and Latifabad talukas had resigned from different district committees on the ground that important committees had been given to the members from the rural areas.

The members who have so far resigned are Sher Mohammad Pirzada, Mohammad Fayyaz Khan, Abdul Qadeer Qazi, Mohammad Ehsan, Naseeruddin Humayun, Ibrahim Chishti, Mohammad Yousuf Qureshi, Abdul Qayyum Shaikh, Dr Saifur Rehman, Mohammad Rafiq, Mohammad Amin, Rana Mehmood Ali Khan, Ameena Naz and Abdul Salim Khanzada.
