MIRPURKHAS, Nov 5: The police have failed to control vehicular traffic and encroachments in the city as result of which people are facing numerous hardships.
A survey conducted by this correspondent reveals that police deployed at various roads and bazaars are encouraging encroachments by taking illegal gratifications.
Resultantly, encroachments are on the rise at the Market Chowk, M. A. Jinnah Road, Green Market Road, Station Road, Mirwah Road and Sir Syed Road and other busy spots.
Vendors are setting up business on footpaths and roads, leaving no space for pedestrians.
Moreover, traffic congestion has become the order of the day, particularly at the time of Iftar.
Citizens have urged the police to control the traffic and keep the roads clear.
They have further urged the inspector general of police, Sindh, to take notice of the inefficiency of the police in checking the ever-increasing encroachments and the vehicular flow.
