Three killed in clash

KHAIRPUR, Nov 4: Three persons were killed and two others were injured in a clash between two groups of the Narejo tribe near Khuhra, Gambat taluka, on Monday night.

Those killed were identified as Khadim Hussain, 40, Asmatullah, and Manthar, 22.

The injured, Gulan and Nazeer Ahmad, were admitted to a Gambat hospital.

On the complaint of Talib Ali, brother of Nazeer Ahmad and Manthar, the Gambat police registered a case against Shah Mohammad alias Jhuri, deceased Khadim Narejo, Mohammad Ali alias Tasro, deceased Asmatullah, Naimatullah, Arbelo, Gulan, Amanullah and Hadi Bux.

The police also set up pickets in the village.The motive behind the incident is said to be a matrimonial dispute between the two groups.

TRADERS LOOTED: Some armed men robbed banana traders Malik Ghaffar and Malik Nisar of Rs20,000 in Thehri Phatak while they were going to the banana market after withdrawing the money from a bank here on Monday.

ARREST: The police have arrested Hadi Bukhsh here on Monday on the charge of killing his daughter-in-law, Sharman, wife of Mohammad Jurial Jhtial, on the complaint of his son.

The woman died as she received a blow while saving her mother-in-law following a quarrel between her in-laws in Kamal Dero village near Gambat.

KILLED: A 45 years old woman, Mehran Channa, died after being run over by a speedy trailer near Rasoolabad the other day.
