QUETTA, Nov 4: Central Committee of the newly formed National Party has rejected all laws and regulations including LFO imposed by the military government and announced that it will struggle for the supremacy of the Constitution, parliament and restoring real federal form of government in the country.
The committee held its meeting in Karachi, which was presided by the chief organizer of the party Dr Abdul Hayee Baloch.
Dr Ishaq Baloch, spokesman for the party, issued the decisions of the central committee here on Monday.
Central Committee reviewed the over all national and international situation with special reference to Balochistan and opposed the interference of Islamabad in Gwadar port project and condemned the cancellation of plots in Singhar Housing Scheme in Gwadar. It also criticized the federal government for not giving representation to Balochistan in the Gwadar Deep Seaport Authority and described it anti- people attitude of Islamabad.
The meeting rejected all such decisions of the federal government about Gwadar port and decided to resist all such moves of Islamabad. It demanded that federal government should implement 29-point joint declaration of Balochistan’s political parties.
The committee described the Kalabagh dam and greater Thal canal an anti-people projects and observed that it was a conspiracy against the people of Sindh and NWFP. The committee decided to fully support the stand of the Sindh and NWFP political parties and people on these issues.
The Party rejected the plan of establishing cantonments in Dera Bugti, Sui and other areas of the province and said that the people of Balochistan would not allow to implement on such decisions. It demanded that all actions against the people of Balochistan should be stopped immediately.
The committee also condemned the arrest of Javed Hashmi and supported his struggle for upholding supremacy of law and democratic institutions. The party demanded his immediate release.
The committee in its meeting lauded the Lahore declaration of opposition parties and described it a good effort for bringing opposition parties on one platform. The meeting observed that in the present situation being faced by the people of the country demanded a joint struggle of the political forces to mobilize the people against the anti-people policies of the government.
