KARACHI, Nov 4: An official of a foreign bank who was kidnapped by unknown persons on Oct 12 was released by his captors on Tuesday.
A spokesman for the Citizens-Police Liaison Committee said as a result of raids conducted by the joint teams of Anti-Violent Crime Cell and CPLC on an information provided by a notorious kidnapper, Rustam, the kidnappers under pressure released Ayub
Khan, senior manager Bank of Tokyo.
A series of raids were conducted to recover Ayub Khan and to arrest the absconding members of Rustam gang in the bordering areas of Karachi and Balochistan, said the official, adding the kidnappers, sensing danger, freed Mr Ayub near Hub area.
However, an extensive search is still under way to apprehend the absconding members of the gang.
Ayub Khan was kidnapped by unknown persons in his car (AAE-701) in Gulistan-i-Jauhar.
Later his abandoned vehicle was recovered from Safoora Goth the same day.
