KARACHI, Nov 4: Prime Minister Mir Zafarullah Khan Jamali has taken serious notice of the complaint of a poor woman against the police for releasing culprits involved in the reported rape case of her daughter.

The Prime Minister’s Secretariat, in a communication to the Sindh Chief Secretary, has called for submitting a report by Nov 8th of the action taken against the accused.

According to a report, Mst Bashiran Bibi of Rajput Colony, Gulshan-i- Iqbal, Block-3, sent tow petitions to the prime minister complaining that her daughter was rapped and the accused were arrested, but later on the police released the culprits. The petitioner complained that the police, instead of helping her, had been supporting the culprits.

The matter was referred to the IGP Sindh by the secretariat with the instructions for rearresting culprits and deal with them according to the laws of the land.
