Sham hits century

KARACHI, Nov 2: A swashbuckling century by Sham Ramesh, coupled with some fine spin bowling by Richard Antao and Andre Bernard, enabled KGA Gymkhana register a crushing 154-run victory over Shaheen Colts, in the Eighth Danish Trophy Ramazan cricket tournament played on Sunday at the KGA ground.

Electing to have first use of the home wicket after winning the toss, KGA raced to 195 for the loss of six wickets in the 20 allotted overs.

Apart from Sham’s dashing knock, Andre Bernard also in good nick with the willow, weighed in with 51 runs. Jahangir Khan was the most successful bowler for Shaheen Colts, picking up three wickets for 37 runs.

With left-arm Richard Antao four for nine and right-arm Andre Bernard three for 12, using the new ball for good measure, Shaheen Gymkhana were skittled out for only 41 runs.

Monday’s fixture: Hill Park v/s Saddiq Sports at Hill Park ground.
