KARACHI, Nov 2: Paceman Umar Gul bowled PIA to their second win in Patrons Cricket Trophy qualifiers when they handed out an innings and 17 runs drubbing to Pak PWD at Quaid-i-Azam Cricket Park Steel Town Sunday.
Umar, who with fellow paceman Fazle Akber helped PIA beat Customs in their opening game, again tormented the PWD batting tormentor.
After grabbing five wickets for 51 runs in PWD first innings, Umar again produced another fiery spell of five wickets for 60 runs as PWD resuming at 49 for five were bowled out for 166 in their second innings.
Former Test left arm spinner Nadeem Khan chipped with three for 39.
Umar Gul finished with match figure of ten wickets for 111 runs.
PIA jumped on the top of the pool “A” ladder with 24 points with two wins.
