KARACHI, Nov 2: The Karachi University plans to bring out its literary journal as per directives of its Vice-Chancellor Dr Zafar Saeed Saify.

According to a KU press release issued on Sunday the varsity students had been invited to suggest a title for the journal.

The KU student, suggesting the best and most appealing title would win a prize of Rs3,000, while the designer, making the cover page, in A-Four size, of the journal, will be awarded Rs5,000.

The students intending to contribute to the journal, have been advised to send their writings by Nov 15, to the office of KU Students’ Advisor, or to the chairman, Urdu Department, with due attestations from their respective department’s head.

Submissions made directly, without proper attestations, would not be accepted, the press release added, mentioning that the best writer would be awarded Rs3,000.

The students registered for the KU’s evening programme would be also eligible for participation in the contest. —APP
