Two varsity students stabbed

FAISALABAD, Nov 1: Two students of the GC University, Faisalabad, were stabbed and injured by two outsiders on the campus on Saturday.

Gulberg police said Ayub Kahloon and Fazal Hadi of Chak Jhumra entered the campus and attacked Mohsin and Usman with daggers. Fazal was overpowered by a group of students while Ayub escaped.

The condition of Mohsin and Usman was stated to be critical at hospital. Fazal was later handed over to Gulberg police.

SUICIDE: A woman committed suicide by throwing herself in front of a train near Abbaspur here on Friday night.

Shazia Bibi of Chak 246 GB of Dijkot had been upset over the behaviour of her in-laws for the last couple of months.

Shazia, 21, threw herself along with her one-year-old daughter in front of a train. She was cut into pieces while her baby was injured. Area people shifted the injured baby to the Allied Hospital.

FOUND DEAD: A youth, who disappeared mysteriously four days ago, was recovered dead from a deserted place along Jhang Road on Saturday.

Dilawar Khan did not return to his house four days ago. Relatives informed Kotwali police after failing to find him. Police found the body of Dilawar from a deserted place along Jhang Road.
