LAHORE, Oct 30: The City District Government food security officials have warned the public against consumption of ready-to-cook samosa and chicken and vegetable rolls.

A food security official said that rolls were being prepared under unhygienic conditions with putrefied minced meat and vegetables, and were unfit for human consumption.

The CDG food inspectors found the material for samosas and rolls being kneaded by treading over it in four ‘factories’, and destroyed 5,000 ready-to-cook rolls containing putrefied stuff.

Cases were instituted against those engaged in preparing such foodstuffs under the Pure Food Ordinance.
