LAHORE, Oct 30: Four Pakistani students who were deported from Canada reached here on Thursday.

Imran Yonus of Rawalpindi, Muhammad Asif of Kohat, Sajjad Ahmad of Gujranwala and Khurram Shahzad of Lahore were interrogated for a while by the FIA immigration authorities at the airport. Later, they were handed over to the Lahore passport cell police station.

The deported youth were studying in a Canadian university when they were picked up by the police about one-and-a-half months ago on suspicion of their alleged involvement in some undesired activities.

The Canadian police, after failing to establish their links with any terrorist organization, set them free. However, they were deported on the charges of violating the Canadian immigration laws.
