SHO asked to show FIR record: Cases against PPP men

DADU, Oct 30: The judicial magistrate, Dadu, on Thursday issued notice to the SHO, Dadu town police station, to produce all relevant police records on Friday regarding an FIR lodged against Sindh PPP chief and leader of the opposition in the Sindh Assembly, Nisar Ahmed Khuhro; PPP MPAs Syed Murad Ali Shah, PPP MNA Rafique Ahmed Jamali and others.
The president, Peoples’ Lawyers Forum, Shafi Mohammad Memon, submitted an application before the court of the judicial magistrate, Dadu, on Thursday that on the complaint of Zulfiqar Ali Jatoi, a worker of the PML(Q), the Dadu town police had registered a fake FIR (No180/03) under section 436, 341, 147, 427, 129, 153, 448, 447, 435 PPC against leader of the opposition in the Sindh Assembly, Nisar Ahmed Khuhro, MPAs, MNAs and 200 activists and local leaders.
But the police did not provide a copy of the FIR to the court concerned since the last four days, while according to law it was mandatory to submit a copy of the FIR to the judicial magistrate of the court concerned within 24 hours.
On this application, the judicial magistrate, Dadu, Sikandar, Amir Pahore, issued notice to the SHO, Dadu town police station, Inspector Ghulam Murtaza Memon, to produce all relevant police records of the Dadu town police station, copy of FIR registered against PPP leaders, MPAs, MNAs, Nazims, Naib Nazims and councillors in the court of the judicial magistrate on Friday.
Earlier, the Dadu town police registered a case against 200 People’s Party Parliamentarians leaders and activists for blocking a road and burning pictures of Federal Minister Liaquat Ali Jatoi.
Those nominated in the FIR included the leader of the opposition in the Sindh Assembly and Sindh PPP president, Nisar Ahmad Khuhro, MNA Rafiq Ahmad Jamali, MPA Syed Murad Ali Shah, Dadu Taluka Nazim Syed Zafar Ali Shah, former district council chairman Qazi Shafiq Ahmad Mahisar, Habibul Rehman Shaikh, MNA Rafiq Jamali’s younger brother Saeed Ahmad Jamali, Ashraf Solangi, Awam Dost Panel candidate for district Naib Nazim seat Dost Ali Jessar and PPP Central Committee chairman Qambar Ali Khan Leghari.
