Islamabad to resume air link talks

ISLAMABAD, Oct 28: Pakistan has decided to go for the second round of talks with India on resumption of air links and will soon agree to one of the two sets of dates proposed by India on Monday, informed sources told Dawn.

“A political decision has been made to go for the second round of talks and the decision is fully backed by Pakistan foreign policy-making institutions,” informed sources told Dawn on Tuesday.

India on Monday proposed to Pakistan two sets of dates in November for technical level talks to address the issues of restoring air links and overflights between the two countries.

The Foreign Ministry on Tuesday communicated the proposed dates to the Civil Aviation Authority and asked it to indicate its preference soon, the sources said.
