KARACHI, Oct 28: Newcomers Karachi Electric Supply Corporation (KESC) took a commanding 105 runs lead against Dewan Farooq Motors Ltd (DFML) on the second day of their three-day Patrons cricket Trophy match on Tuesday.
Responding to KESC mammoth first innings score of 377 all out, DFML 272 declared their first innings at 272 for eight wickets in 76 overs. Opener Zeeshan Khan topscored with 72 and one-day international cricketer Javed Qadir made 62 off 79 balls in 99 minutes.
By close of play KESC extended their lead to 122 by reaching 17 without in their second innings. Javed Mansoor was 10 not out.

By close of the play in the three-day match, PWD reached 112 for the loss of five wickets. Saad wasim was 37 not out with two boundaries following his 67 in the first innings.
Off-spinner Aftab captured three wickets for 21 runs in 10.3 overs. Hammad Khan hit a fighting 54 for Navy.
