LANDI KOTAL (Khyber Agency), Oct 27: The government high school at Attari in the Qamarkhel area, Bara tehsil, is working without a principal for the past four months while its teachers mostly remain absent from their duties.

Complaining about the waste of their academic time, students said that only five out of 11 teachers attended their duties.

The school, they said, was also without a science laboratory and other essential amenities such as clean water. They said that the school building itself was in a state of disrepair, but authorities concerned had taken no action in this regard.

JIRGA FAILS: Tribesmen exchanged firing here after a local jirga failed to resolve a land dispute between Nikkikhel and Karamnawal sub-tribes of the Zakhakhels on Saturday.
