Races to continue

Published October 27, 2003

LAHORE, Oct 26: The Lahore Race Club (LRC) stewards have decided to continue races during the holy month of Ramazan.

An announcement made to this effect was made on the public address system during races on Sunday.

Races will be held on Sundays. Meanwhile race-goers have been asked to maintain sanctity of the holy month and avoid eating, smoking and chewing betel leaves.

Sales of eatables and soft drinks will also remain suspended during fast timings in the LRC premises.

However, eatables and drinks will be available at the time of Iftari, this was further announced. Races will be held at same timings.—A.G.
