Singh joins four-way tie for lead
LAKE BUENA VISTA (Florida), Oct 26: Fiji’s Vijay Singh shot a three-under-par 69 on Saturday to move into a four-way tie for the lead at the Funai Classic at Disney World with Scott Verplank, Stewart Cink and John Rollins.
The world number three is aiming to unseat Tiger Woods as PGA Player of the Year and leading tour money winner.
Singh held the solo lead after 36 holes and shares the 54-hole pace but Verplank and Cink each shot six-under 66s and Rollins fired a 67 to create the logjam at 18-under 198.
David Peoples (69) is at 16-under 200, followed by Davis Love III (69) and Rocco Mediate (69) at 15 under.

Gonzalez VICTORIOUS
MADRID: Argentine Ricardo Gonzalez recorded his second European Tour victory when he came from six shots behind to snatch the Madrid Open on Sunday by a stroke.
A closing six-under-par 65 took the 34-year-old to a 14-under-par total of 270, a stroke better than Irishman Padraig Harrington, Swede Marten Olander, Australian Nick O’Hern and long-time leader Paul Casey of Britain.
Gonzalez charged into contention with four successive birdies from the fourth after an early bogey and sealed his win — his other success came at the 2001 European Masters — with four birdies in five holes from the 11th.
