Lawyer shot dead

MANSEHRA, Oct 26: A lawyer was shot dead allegedly over a money dispute here on Saturday night.

The deceased, Shahnawaz Khan, was going home from his office when he was killed near Harimaira village, police said.

A case was registered against four suspects, Mohammad Saeed, Mohammad Azeem, Mohammad Nisar and Mohammad Siddique, who, the police alleged, accompanied the lawyer and killed him on the way.

Bisharat Ahmad Abid, president of the District Bar Association, Mansehra, condemned the murder of Shahnawaz Khan and said that the lawyers community would not attend court in protest against the incident.
