KARACHI: AIDS control programme


KARACHI, Oct 25: An enhanced AIDS control programme is being launched in Sindh in collaboration with the World Bank.

This was stated by the manager of the control programme, Dr Sharaf Ali Shah, on Saturday.

He said that the governor will inaugurate the programme at a local hotel on Monday.

Dr Shah said the World Bank had extended a loan of $27.8 million and a grant of $9.28 million for five year programme.

In addition to this, funds were also being made available by the CIDA and DFID of Britain.—APP
