NAROWAL, Oct 24: There is acute shortage of liquified petroleum gas (LPG) cylinders ahead of Ramazan.

Most of the local dealers who do open their outlets are sitting idle. Those who do possess the gas charge Rs450 to Rs500 per 11kg cylinder.

TOBA TEK SINGH: Cut in fresh supplies has doubled liquified gas prices in the local market.

Dealers said that various gas companies had closed their filling plants for annual repairs and hoped that the gas supply would be normal in a few days.
