4 die in Indian shelling

MUZAFFARABAD, Oct 24: Four more people were killed in AJK in Indian shelling from across the restive Line of Control late on Thursday, police said on Friday.

A shell hit a house in Tetrinot village in Poonch district, killing Ghulam Mohiuddin, 65, Sher Jan, 55, and Mohammad Jalib, 6.

Another person, identified as Bagh Hussain, was wounded in the same village by the shelling.

In Bhimbher district, Samina Bibi, 35, wife of Mohammad Zaman, died after being hit by splinters of a mortar shell in Seri Bandala village on Thursday.

Police said the shelling continued along the LoC in Samahni and Bandala sectors of district Bhimbher on Friday but fortunately there were no more casualties. In Chakothi sector, located south of Muzaffarabad, Noor Jan, widow of Mohammad Amin, was injured in the shelling on Friday.
