KARACHI: HEJ, APCTT sign accord

KARACHI, Oct. 23: The Hussain Ebrahim Jamal (HEJ) Research Institute of Chemistry, University of Karachi, and the Asian-Pacific Centre for Transfer of Technology (APCTT) have singed an MoU to facilitate joint development activities and strengthen technology transfer networking in Asia and Pacific, with a view to promote transfer and utilization of traditional medicines and herbal technology in the Asia-Pacific region.

Acting Director of the HEJ Institute, Dr M. Iqbal Choudhary, revealed this during a lecture in the SAARC-HEJ Training Course at HEJ on Thursday.

According to the MoU, HEJ would provide the requisite facilities, both hardware and software, and ensure connectivity with the relevant sub-nodal agencies, organization and departments in Pakistan dealing with various aspects of traditional medicines, herbal drugs and medicinal plants.—PPI
