Kuwait begins Monitoring charity funds

KUWAIT, Oct 23: Kuwait has assigned its Central Bank to approve and monitor any transfer of funds overseas by Islamic charity organizations in order to regulate their operations.

Acting social affairs and labour ministry undersecretary Mohammad Al Kandari said at a press conference that as part of measures to fight terror funding, the Central Bank had been given authority to monitor charity donations and funds that were going out from Kuwait.
