Adnans snatch glory

PESHAWAR, Oct 22: Adnan Hashim and Adnan Haider grabbed grabbed Under-18 and under-16 category titles in the first (age group) NWFP Inter-school swimming championship which ended at the Adil Khan pool at the Qayyum Sports Complex on Wednesday.

Fifty students from 15, both public and private, schools participated  in the two-day provincial championship held under the aegis of the NWFP Swimming Association.

Adnan Hashim of the Government High School No 4, Peshawar Cantt, emerged victorious in the 50 meters freestyle under-16 category with time of 34.84 seconds.

He was followed by Mohammad Shoaib  of Beaconhouse School Systems with the time of 37.15 seconds. Abdul Hamid of the Aryana Public School clinched third place in a time of 40.64 seconds.

In under-16 category of the championship, Adnan Haider of PAF School,  secured the first place with the time of 40:69  seconds. second and third places went to Junaid Shabaz of Army Garrison School and Mohammad Tahir of Government High School No,  Peshawar Cantt in a time of 45:09 and 50:31 seconds.
