LAHORE, Oct 22: Pakistan Awami Tehrik chief Tahirul Qadri has decided to field his son, Hasan Moeenuddin Qadri, in the by-poll to NA-89, Jhang.

The seat fell vacant after the murder of Maulana Azam Tariq, the chief of Millat-i-Islamia, in Islamabad on Oct 6.

The PAT chief told reporters on Wednesday that the government had failed to check terrorism. A complete lawlessness was prevailing in the country and a sense of insecurity was intensifying among citizens.

He regretted that no progress had been showed in probe into any major incident.

About the recently concluded OIC conference, he said it was a good show but the participants should have shown some progress in fields of a joint Muslim force, common market and currency, etc.
