Community’s role in poverty alleviation emphasized
ISLAMABAD, Oct 21: Minister of State for Environment, Local Governments and Rural Development Tahir Iqbal has called for effective community involvement in achieving the goal of poverty alleviation and sustainable development.
He was speaking at the inaugural session of a three-day workshop on “Working within the system and living within the means” here on Tuesday. The workshop has been organized by the IUCN to celebrate ten years of UNDP-GEF small grants programme in Pakistan.
