PESHAWAR, Oct 19: NWFP Swimming Association is organising an inter-schools swimming championship on Tuesday at the Qayyum Stadium swimming pool.

Secretary of the NWFP Swimming Association, Mohammad Asif Orakzai, said that letters have already been issued to the headmasters and principals of the schools to furnish the names of the players desiring to partake in the competition.

These competitions, Orakzai said would go along way in the promotion of the swimming among the younger generation of the province.

Later, provincial team would be selected to compete in the national championship.

He also said that all the school students desiring to participate in the event would be allowed to practice at the pool free of charge.
