Protest held against school management

NAWABSHAH, Oct 19: The people, including the relatives of Rao Kashif, whose body was found from the Fauji Foundation School on Saturday, held a protest demonstration at the A-section police station so that a case could be registered against the school management.

The UT-ASP, Rana Ali, went to the A-section police station and assured the protesters that a case would be registered.

A police team, headed by Mr Rana, raided the school and arrested its principal, Major (retd) Abbas Khokhar; a book supplier, Ghulam Ali, and a watchman, Abdul Khalid.

BOY DIES AFTER SURGERY: A boy, Azam, expired in the paediatrics ward of the People’s Medical College Hospital, Nawabshah, due to the alleged negligence of doctors early Saturday morning.

Azam, son of Ghulam Qadir Mahar, resident of Qazi Ahmed, died in the paediatrics ward after undergoing a stomach surgery.

Mr Ghulam held Dr Ali Raza Brohi and Dr Basheer Soomro responsible for his son’s death at a press conference in Qazi Ahmed on Saturday.

When this correspondent contacted Dr Brohi, in charge, paediatrics surgery, he said that the boy’s condition became critical after surgery and he visited him at 2am on his parents’ complaint.
