QUETTA, Oct 19: The Pakistan Medical Association will set up six stalls in the city for six days from Monday in collaboration with the Pakistan Society of Hematology for free hepatitis B tests, the general secretary of the association’s Balochistan chapter, Dr Basir Achakzai, said on Saturday.
Speaking at a news conference, he said the organizations would start the Hayat-i-Nau hepatitis B screening campaign in Quetta, Karachi, Multan, Lahore, Islamabad and Peshawar.
He said the tests would be conducted on the spot.
He said the people in the Barkhan, Kohlu, Jaffarabad and Zhob districts faced the highest risk of the disease.
