KABUL, Oct 18: Armed men wearing military uniforms ambushed a vehicle in southwestern Afghanistan and killed seven passengers, state-run Kabul television reported on Saturday.
The attack happened on Friday near Bakwa in Farah province, on the main road between Kandahar and Herat, Kabul TV said. Two passengers were also wounded.
The network did not say who was behind the attack, but officials routinely blame remnants of the Taliban for a resurgence in violence in Afghanistan in recent months.—Reuters
