HARIPUR, Oct 18: A man was killed while his cousin sustained injuries in a bid to foil a robbery attempt in village Kholian Bala some five kilometres from here in the jurisdiction of PS Saddar on Saturday night.
Police said that Abdul Reham son of Kala Khan of village Kholian Bala was sleeping in his veranda when two armed bandits entered his house after scaling the boundary wall and overpowered him. On his hue and cry his cousin Aurangzeb came to rescue him but the fleeing bandits opened indiscriminate fire and killed Rehman on the spot.—Correspondent
