KARACHI, Oct 18: Sindh Governor Dr Ishratul Ibad announced on Friday night that he had resolved the land issue of Aligarh Old Boys Association once and for all.
Speaking at a function organized by the Aligarh Old Boys Association, the Sindh governor said that there had been a land dispute involving the Association and the Sindh government. “I have just signed a document which will not allow this government, or any government in the future, to take away this piece of land,” he said.
Zakir Ali Khan of the Aligarh Old Boys Association told Dawn that in 1996 the Sindh government had sought to acquire the piece of land owned by the Association. The governor’s decision had restored the piece of land to the Association.
