ISLAMABAD, Oct 17: The Academic Staff Association (ASA) of the Quaid-i-Azam University (QAU) has held mismanagement at the boys hostels responsible for a series of killings on the campus over the last one year.

Talking to Dawn, the ASA general secretary, Dr Mohammad Ishaq, said they believed that the ethnically divided students councils controlling the hostels was the sole factor behind the ongoing unrest on the campus.

Referring to a meeting between the Association’s executive council members and the vice-chancellor here on Friday, Mr Ishaq said the Association had shared its concern of insecurity with the university administration.—Our Reporter
