HYDERABAD: Book on Pakistan to be launched on 20th

HYDERABAD, Oct 17: Preserving Pakistan’s Past: Notes on Archival Resources and Management, a book written by Martin Moir, will be launched at a ceremony at the Institute of Sindhology, University of Sindh, on Oct 20.
The author is former deputy archivist, India Office Library and Records, and presently working as a consultant at the University College, London.
Vice-Chancellor Mazharul Haq Siddiqui will preside over the function, noted scholar Dr G. A. Allana will be the chief guest and Dr Hamida Khuhro will be the guest of honour.
BOOK FAIR: The Oxford University Press, Karachi, is organizing a three-day book fair at the Allama I. I. Kazi Library, University of Sindh, from Oct 20.
Vice-Chancellor Mazharul Haq Siddiqui will inaugurate the book fair.
ADMISSION TEST: The Mehran University of Engineering and Technology, on Friday announced that entry test for admission to the university would be held at the Public School, Latifabad and Hyderabad branches, on Oct 19.
IT FEE: Sindh Professors and Lecturers Association founder Prof Liaquat Aziz Solangi has demanded that the government should issue a notification announcing the date of refunding information technology subject fee to students.
In a statement faxed to Dawn here on Friday, he said the education department had issued a notification in which the IT subject fee was withdrawn but instructions were not issued about refunding the fee.
