LARKANA, Oct 16: With a majority of votes a no-confidence motion was passed against the Taluka Nazim, Warah, Badruddin Abro, in Thursday’s meeting in Warah.

Noor Ahmed Brohi, the convener of the council, presided over the meeting, which was attended by 11 members while five remained absent.

Abdul Salam Patoojo, Naib Nazim of Union Council Muradi, tabled the no-confidence motion that was seconded by A. Rakhiyo Khaskheli.

Nine members voted in favour of the no-trust move while two abstained from voting.

The convener announced that the no-confidence motion was carried by nine votes.

This was the second identical move against the sitting Taluka Nazim as the first was tabled and passed on Sept 11 but he went to the High Court which restored him.

HESCO: The Sindh High Court, Larkana circuit bench, on Thursday ordered the sub-divisional officer, Hesco Larkana-II, to immediately restore the power supply to the flour mills of Ali Gohar Dhamraho located in Dhamraho village.

The bench consisted of Justice Ali Aslam Jafferi and Justice Syed Zawar Hussain Jafferi.

The petitioner, Ali Gohar Dhamraho, alleged that the SDO and revenue officer-II issued highly inflated bills.
