KARACHI, Oct 16: The 52nd death anniversary of Shaheed-i- Millat Khan Liaquat Ali Khan, the first prime minister of Pakistan, was observed on Thursday with due solemnity.

On the occasion, Quran Khawani was held at his mazar here on Thursday morning.

A number of people, including leaders and workers of various political parties, visited the mazar of Liaquat Ali Khan to pay homage to this great leader of the Pakistan Movement who rendered immense services as the first prime minister of the country.

The acting Nazim of Karachi, Mohammad Tariq Hassan, visited the mazar of Liaquat Ali Khan and laid a wreath on behalf of the the people of the metropolis.

A number of people belonging to various walks of life also visited the mazar of Liaquat Ali Khan and offered fateha.—APP
