LAHORE, Oct 15: Sparkling half centuries by Misbah-ul- Haq and Yasir Hameed led Pakistan XI to a 44 runs win over World XI in a charity match at Gadaffi Stadium on Wednesday.
Pakistan XI led by Wasim Akram, making his last appearance in his home town, won the toss and elected to bat first. The home side scored 260 for eight in allotted 40 overs and bowled out opponents for 216.
Misbah top scored with highest (77), hitting six fours and four sixes. Yasir shone with patient (52) laced with two boundaries and one six.
From World XI India’s Robin Singh hit (58) in the role of a top scorer, smashing three sixes and same number of fours. Mushtaq Ahmad took two wickets for 19.
The match was organized by Zindagi Trust to raise funds for education and health care.
