Two injured: Robbers loot Rs400,000

LAHORE, Oct 15: Robbers injured two men and escaped with cash, jewellery and valuables in different parts of the city on Wednesday.

Ahsan and Sakhawat, employees of a jewellery shop at Ichhra, were returning after drawing Rs400,000 from a bank when two motorcyclists intercepted them near the LOS bus-stop on the Ferozepur Road.

The robbers opened fire on them when they put up resistance and made off with the cash.

They were taken to the Services Hospital where their condition was stated to be critical.

Two armed men forced their entry into a factory in Garhi Shahu and made off with cash and valuables worth Rs14,000.

Two men entered a ghee factory and held up the staff, collected cash and valuables worth Rs15,000 and escaped.

GANG: The CIA staff claim to have arrested four members of Shahzad, alias Mushka, gang of robbers and recovered weapons from their possession.

According to a press release issued here on Wednesday, the gang members were wanted in a number of robbery cases.

During investigation, the accused confessed to 11 robberies on Walton Road, in Millat Colony, Shahdara, Ghazi Road, Sabzazar, Faisal Town and Madina Colony.

The arrested were identified as Shahzad Masih, alias Mushka, Shafiqur Rehman, Bashir and Shahzad Anwar. —Reporter
