ISLAMABAD, Oct 15: Prime Minister Mir Zafarullah Khan Jamali said on Wednesday that the investigation into MNA Maulana Azam Tariq murder case was going in the right direction and said he hoped for an early outcome.

“I think we are going in the right direction and I have given more instructions. Probably soon we will be able to go on the right track,” the prime minister told PTV after chairing the cabinet meeting.

He said all issues relating to law and order were discussed in the meeting.

Under a new strategy, he said, the exit and entry points in all the principal cities, including Islamabad, Lahore, Karachi, Peshawar and Quetta, and other places would be monitored by cameras.

About the Police Order, 2002, he said: “We are in consonance in this regard.”

The people engaged in this regard would come up with concrete proposals soon, he said and added that it would help improve the law and order situation.—APP
