GUJRANWALA, Oct 14: A milkman was shot dead while his brother was injured by robbers during a strike at Behari Colony, here on Tuesday.
Reports said Liaquat Ali and his brother Muhammad Boota were going to their shop by a motorcycle when two armed men stopped them and, on resistance, opened fire on them. As a result, Liaquat died on the spot and his brother injured. He was taken to the District Headquarters Hospital where his condition was stated to be serious.
SHOW-CAUSE: A local court issued show-cause notice to two SHOs for not appearing in court on Tuesday.
An additional sessions judge, Pervez Ismail, summoned the Cantonment SHO and Tetley SHO in connection with a case, but they stayed away.
The judge ordered that both the SHOs should submit their reply to the notice on Wednesday (today). — Correspondent
