Rescheduling of exams urged

Published October 15, 2003

QUETTA, Oct 14: The Students’ Alliance of the Balochistan University demanded on Monday that the MA and MSc examinations scheduled for December should be postponed till March.

The alliance’s convener Munawar Nurooz and another leader, Saba Raisani, said at a press conference on Monday that the students had appeared in the previous examination in March this year and it would be difficult for them to take the next annual examination in December.

They said the students had not completed the course of the final year and specially the science students were facing difficulty in completing their course and practicals in time.

“The university should give three months to the students for preparation of the examination,” they said.

They said the university had changed the pattern of the question papers to descriptive, which was not acceptable to the students.

They said the students had boycotted the classes against the decision of the university of holding the examination in December.
