18 Afghans held for illegally crossing border

By Our Correspondent

QUETTA, Oct 11: Personnel of the Frontier Corps on Friday arrested 18 Afghans for having illegally crossed into the Pakistani territory near Chaman, sources confirmed here.

“The Afghans entered into Pakistan (territory) from (an) unconventional route without having the required travelling documents,” officials in Chaman said.

All Afghans belonged to the northern Afghanistan, sources said, adding that they were arrested from different areas along Pakistan’s western border.

Sources said that they had also recovered some documents from their possessions, adding that the arrested Afghans had been handed over to authorities concerned for questioning.
