KARACHI: Boy killed by stray bullet

KARACHI, Oct 11: Two men were killed in separate incidents on Saturday in different localities of the city.

A 17-year-old boy was shot dead during firing in the air at a wedding ceremony in Macchar Colony, in Docks police limits.

The police said that Abu Bakr, 17, was attending the marriage ceremony of his first cousin, when some of the guests started firing in the air to celebrate the ceremony, and a stray bullet hit Abu Bark killing him on the spot.

The police shifted the body to a hospital for autopsy and later it was handed over to the family for burial.

In another incident, a rickshaw driver was stabbed to death in Mominabad police limits in Orangi Town.

According to the police, Abdur Rasheed, 21, resident of Sector 4-F, Khyber Colony, was parking his rickshaw near his house late on Friday night, when he was attacked by some unidentified persons.

He suffered multiple stab-wounds and was taken to the Abbasi Shaheed Hospital in Nazimabad, where he expired.
