HYDERABAD, Oct 11: The Sindh High Court, Hyderabad circuit bench, here the other day appointed the district and sessions judge to inquire into a case of wrongful detention.

The judge will inquire into the allegations of detainees Allah Dino, Abdul Sattar and Abdul Wahab and applicant Subhan Khatoon, who had filed the application before the court.

Allah Dino, the husband of the applicant, and his sons, Abdul Sattar and Abdul Wahab, in their affidavits stated before the court that a raid was conducted by a high court official on the directives of a division bench of the court. They said Ms Khatoon had correctly pointed out the quarter to the raid commissioner where they were being held and that they had also heard the cries of the applicant but the SHO forcibly removed them to some unknown destination after blindfolding them.

They further said they were released by the police on Oct 2 in Dadu city with threats that if they complained against respondent police officials they would again be implicated in a false case.

The investigation team in charge, SI Altaf Hussain, also filed his statement before the court, saying the sons of the applicant were implicated in a crime under section 17(3), Hudood Ordinance, and 395 and 452, PPC.
