From the other direction, the pair of Yousuful Islam and Midhat gave a splendid performance by taking over the lead right from the third round.

They kept their form till the last card dropped. At the ninth round they were on top with 64% but fell to second position when they tackled two unlucky boards in the last round, which gave Mushahid and F.A. Naeem the lead. The last named pair won by a slight margin of 0.39 percent.—APP
