KARACHI, Oct 9: The Pakistan Post Office issued on Thursday a commemorative stamp in connection with the golden jubilee celebrations of the PAF Public School, Sargodha.
According to a PPO press release, the size of the stamp is 28.65mm by 34mm and its denomination is Rs4. Printed by the Pakistan Security Printing, the stamps have been designed by Faizi Ameer.
The press release says the PAF School Sargodha was established in Dec, 1953, as an RPAF Public School under contract with a British company, Air Services Training. Before independence, the present college campus was known as dhoop sari, meaning sun burnt.
It was originally picked as a site for a government college, but then prime minister, Liaquat Ali Khan, agreed to let the PAF establish its school.
