Asim, Fahad sparkle

KARACHI, Oct 8: Fine all-round performances by Fahad Farooq and Asim Abbasi guided City School (PAF Chapter) to an 18-run victory over Socrates School in the Askari Intermediate inter-school cricket tournament at the NBP Sports Complex on Wednesday.

The duo claimed four wickets apiece as Socrates were curtailed to 145 for nine after being set a target of 164.

Earlier, Asim (55) and Fahad (47) shared an opening stand of exactly 100 that helped City School score 163 in 22 overs.

In another match, played at the PAD Park, Bay View High School defeated St Lawrence’s School by eight wickets in a game restricted to 12 overs per side.
