KARACHI, Oct 8: The city government has almost completed the first phase of repair and patch work of rain-battered roads in the metropolis, according to CDGK sources.
They pointed out that patch work of about 700,000 square feet of roads has been completed whereas about 125,000 square feet of carpeting is under way on daily basis. The second phase of road-repair work is about to commence, they added.
The roads on which work has been completed include Tariq Road, Khokhrapar Road, Manghopir Road, Major Anwar Shaheed Road, Tannery Road, Shah Abdul Lateef Road, roads and streets in Bihar Colony and Mahmoodabad, Martin Road, Korangi Road, Shahrah-i-Orangi and arteries in Malir, Aurangabad and Chota Maidan.—APP
