Two Mahars killed

Published October 8, 2003

SHIKARPUR, Oct 7: Two Mahar tribesmen were killed by four armed men of the Tarat Jatoi clan at a railway crossing, two kilometres off Lakhi, on the Lakhi-Ruk Road on Tuesday morning.

The armed men intercepted a Lakhi-bound coaster, coming from Ruk, got off two passengers — Gulzar, 35, Darogha in the irrigation department, and Ali Gohar, 36, peon in the DCO office — and shot them dead.

The reason behind the incident is said be a tribal feud.
